  • Prior to her work as a consultant she managed Everyday World, a conglomeration of start-up entities that make up a forward-thinking social entrepreneurial model located in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.
  • Before moving to South Africa Johanna was the Vice President of McEvoy & Associates, a Development Strategy and Event Planning firm, based in New York City.While in this position Johanna worked with a number of high-profile clients in creating and executing large fundraising events.
  • Prior to her work with McEvoy, Johanna worked for Scholastic Inc., an international children’s publishing company, doing Community Affairs. She headed up a number of the company’s philanthropic initiatives including work on various national literacy initiatives.
  • Before moving to New York, Johanna worked as a Government Relations Associate and Lobbyist in Washington, DC.
  • She graduated from American University in Washington, D.C. with a degree in Public Communications and Business Administration.
  • Johanna is active with various NPO’s and membership organistions, in and around Cape Town, which champion issues from health to poverty alleviation to literacy.
